I’ll be very honest with those who read this weekly; I.. am… beat. This weekend has been spent putting out fires and helping a very good friend, and now client, fix some problems with their control code. I’m sitting in a hotel as I write this and trying to get my thoughts together for the coming week.
The one thing that keeps AVNation grounded, working, and continues to hone our perspective on the AV industry is weeks like this. My good friend, and one of my programming mentors Rich Fregosa, spends weeks like this. Steve Greenblatt, of Control Concepts and our show A State of Control, has weeks like this. You have weeks like this. It is what makes AVNation so special and unique. Not only do our contributors and commentators work in the industry. The folks who run this place still work in it on a week in, week out basis.
Now, on to CEDIA. I have written a few posts about our CEDIA plans. In case you hadn’t heard, just keep Friday September 12 open. At 1 pm MT, we will be recording AVWeek. From 4 – 6 we will be hosting the AVTweeps Tweetup sponsored by Crestron Electronics and Middle Atlantic Products. Both of these events will be happening in the CEDIA booth, number 1550. Other than those two scheduled events, grab us on the show floor. We will have stuff to give away, interviews to do, and just a pretty great time at the CEDIA Expo 2014.
The following week, George Tucker will be hosting AVWeek as I head to the InfoComm AV Executive Conference. I will pop into that episode of AVWeek from the event and we will be doing a special from there. Plus, we will have another pretty cool announcement about another event coming up in the next few weeks.
